finally, some warm weather out here in the pacific northwest! i had been wearing jeans and sweatshirts until the end of last week..unbelievable! don't get me wrong, i'm not in envy of the eastcoast blasting temps and that hot, humid air that doesn't move..but a day or two in shorts would be nice.
it hit 90 this weekend and luke and i played outside most of it. we made it down to lake washington two days in a row and watched as the kids ran into the water without hesitation and myself chicken out because i'm not used to water below about 75 degrees. ha! we also made it out to my good friend, chrissy's 29th birthday party and bbq--a great time full of burgers, mojitos, ladder ball (of which luke and i dominated!), bon fire and chrissy falling out of her lawn chair.
luke, payton and i are trying to get to florida this week! i can't tell you how excited i am! although stressed because standby travel can be frustrating. positive thoughts though and hopefully we'll make it to visit for a while. i can't wait to see all my family and for everyone to meet luke and p. it should be great fun!!
well, monday morning is calling my name too soon so off to la la land i go...to dream of tan lines and laughter...
EMK - Thanks for the e-mail and the blog. Been a long time. This is crazy because I talked with your bro last night and now you this morning. Its a Kiggins overload and I couldn't be happier. Sounds like your bro is doing great. I didn't realize that he is really into his girl. How are you and Luke? Is he...the One? =O! I can't believe you're such a sissy about the water. I know for a fact that you've been in colder water. I remember throwing you in the pool one winter. Then I felt so bad, and was so dumb, that I jumped in after you. That was frigid. Good luck with your travels. Happy 4th of July. Don't be a stranger.
