so ryan, sarah and two of their good friends take the boat out friday evening for a little dinner during sunset on the beach. they're going along, enjoying the beautiful florida weather (yes, i'm slightly jealous right now) when all of a sudden they run the boat aground. sorry bean-i didn't even ask if anyone was hurt because i was laughing so hard. after ryan and nick work for a half-an-hour, they finally get it going again and continue on their journey. they try to get out to the gulf-side, but it's windy and the gulf is choppy so they settle for an inlet and finally get out to the beach. now ryan, i have to insert here that despite you're swearing you were in between the markers, sarge does not believe you. haha
nick and mandy know what's coming and offer to take a couple pictures of them on the beach (you can never have too many beach photos in florida). so ryan has had plenty of time to come up with something perfect to say, but during the second picture attempt, he drops to a knee and blurts out, "will you marry me?" i asked, "that's it? that's all you said??" he admits to being a little nervous (which i find very hard to believe), but the funnier part was that sarah started saying "yes" before he even finished the question. i guess all proposals are a little comical and at the end of the day, it was perfect.
so i welcome another [soon-to-be] sister into the family. i wish you both all the happiness in the world and look forward to spending many christmas holidays together, playing farkle.
